social networking at work

Saw this video on CNN Money; talks about importance of social networking for business purposes.

Commentary is interesting for Twitter--not sure why people think any of these tools are any different than e-mail. If people haven't learned to think before they type by now, well, good luck with that.

I'm still surprised that some people aren't on LinkedIn, and that more people aren't on Twitter.

  1. Gotta say, social nets seem to be the topic of the year, but that video didn't contain much info. I actually think Twitter is a lot different than email and I find myself using it more and more. Email is more akin to writing an old fashioned letter these days, at least for me. Twitter is like having a conversation with lots of people at once, but better because you can walk away and rejoin the conversation whenever you feel like it.
